3DS is very proud to have worked extensively on Heathrow Terminal 5.
We provided drawings for the Main terminal roof steel (17,000T), over 1.1km of Façade Glazing Support steelwork (up to 40m high), Aircraft access fixed link walkways, over 40 lift shafts and stair towers along with extensive retrofit for the  fit out of internal substructure and superstructures.
As part of this contract 3DS also detailed the VCR Air Traffic Control Building.

The 3DS team was actively involved in the design and detailing of the temporary works for both the terminal and VCR control tower. The most recent 3DS order for airport steelwork is for the new Terminal and Pier buildings at Edinburgh International Airport.
